Celebration Cake Pop Cakes

celebration cake pop cakes - unique, bespoke designs, wedding cakes, birthday cakes, any celebration cake, Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire, London

After creating bespoke unique celebration cake pop cakes for friends’ and family’s birthdays, I decided it was time to start selling these little beauties for weddings, birthdays, christenings, any celebration that a bespoke unique cake might be needed for!

The best thing about making these celebration cake pop cakes is the amount of artistic craziness that can go into what starts as a simple celebration cake idea! When a friend said her daughter loved pink and leopard print, the cake pop cake was easy to create – I make a sponge in whatever flavour they like then cover it in double layer of buttercream and finish it off with hand painted celebration cake pops. Another friend wanted her daughter to celebrate her birthday in style and once I found out her favourite cake pops were purple and glittery, the idea for the purple celebration cake came to me – plenty of glitter and icing later, we had one happy 8 year old girl 🙂

My Mother’s 80th birthday celebrations took place in a restaurant and I couldn’t believe that after so much food, people were still able to scoff some cake pops as well as some celebration cake!

I can only imagine what beautiful unique, bespok wedding cakes could be created given the opportunity – tiers of soft sponge with icing and bespoke cake pops all over in a truly celebratory fashion. Yum

There are some drawbacks when creating a cake pop celebration cake – firstly, the cake itself needs to be made last minute unlike the cake pops – so, planning is crucial! Also, the cake works better with buttercream if you are sticking cake pops into the top as fondant icing can be tricky to make holes in neatly. But, the buttercream for the cake pop cake needs to be double-layered to ensure a really good coating – each layer of buttercream needs to set nice and hard in the fridge but not for too long or the cake will dry out!

It helps to put the cake pops for the cake on different length pop sticks to create a more random effect when you place them on top – I found that cutting the plastic cake pops sticks with the kitchen scissors (before sticking the pop on!) worked really well – you can also buy different length cake pops sticks

I hope you like what I have made so far…bring on the celebrations and bring on the unique bespoke celebration cake pop cakes <3
